i am thankful for:

Skyler's education.

I can't tell you how much skyler has expressed how important his education was since we met. I am so glad that he pushed through the years, the weekend-less months, those pesky tests/projects and the long nights. | he would get up for work around 4am, go to work, leave work for school, and get home from school at about 11pm every night | It shows his dedication to his future as well as mine and our children's futures. I hope our kids get his dedication to school. His degree will help provide for our family and give me the opportunity to stay at home to raise our children.

i am thankful for:

the opportunity skyler and i had to be married in the temple for time and all eternity. every time i go to a wedding and hear the words 'til death do you part' it makes me cringe in sadness. i am grateful that i belong to a church who believes that marriage is an eternal commitment.

i am also thankful for the chance that i had to get pregnant with ease. i have some friends/family members who struggle with infertility and it is a hard struggle to watch. i thank my father in heaven for this bundle every single day.

surprise surprise.
i am thankful for my amazing better half. skyler and i are absolutely perfect for one another. i could not have asked for a better eternal companion.

October.

I can't believe October is already halfway through. this year has FLOWN by which I am 100% okay with. the sooner the year is over, the sooner we get to meet our little guy. it has been a very emotionally trying week for me.. (maybe that will be on a post sometime in the future, maybe not) but it has made me so super super super thankful to have such an amazing and supportive husband who is there to comfort me when all I can do is break down and cry.
I am leaving for Arkansas in a couple of days to visit Natalie! I am so excited! Family at her house twice in one year? You'd think she won the lottery! 😉 It I going to be a great early birthday present to be able to spend the week at her house! (I just hope I don't get all pregmotional and cry because I miss Skyler) I guess we will just have to wait and see...

grandpas birthday

we had a great time at grandpa lemieux's 80th birthday bash yesterday. here are some photos to document:

craziness.

things have been insane with us roussel's lately. skyler started at his new job a couple months ago and this couldn't have come at a better time. he loves going to work and when he comes home he isn't stressed out. buh-bye kidney stones. (hope i didn't just jinx that..) he is still working his part-time job, mostly on the weekends, but it is still nice to have him home. skyler also turned 27! we had a great birthday celebrations here at the house with some family and friends. which included cake naturally. thank you to kayla jj recker, karlee john, cami brady, millie devin mckemmy and sawyer for all coming. he had a great time. he graduated with honors from itt-tech a few days after his birthday. me and baby could not be more proud of him.
 i am still working at the dental office for now and my available photo days are filling up before i shut down for a couple of months to push a giant baby out of my body. nbd. gradnpa lemieux turned the big 8-0 last week. all of the grandkids are throwing him a big surprise birthday party tomorrow and i could not be more excited to celebrate with him. he, among skyler and my dad obviously, is my favorite man in the world. never failing to give me a big hug/kiss every time i see him with an 'I love you' to follow.
baby has a name. yes, a real name. but don't ask for it, because i won't tell you what it is. it's not that we think it will get 'stolen' or people won't like it, we just are very pleased with the name and would like to wait for him to debut it himself. it does have sentimental value, and for that, we are pleased. it isn't a name that is heard often, but it is still somewhat common. he is growing more and more every day. 'on the large side' is where dr beck refers to his size. he must take after his dad. he is constantly in kicking rages. always around meal time, which is where he takes after me. i hit 24 weeks yesterday and i cant believe i only have another 16 weeks to go. i don't understand why people say pregnancy drags onnn and onnnnnn... i also didn't get sick and haven't started getting achy yet, so give me a few more months and i will more than likely retract that statement.
to wrap it up, we are all good and well. very happy. very healthy. following this post will be photo updates.

It's a....

BOY! We went to my check up today and we got the gender early! Dr. Beck was just checking the spine and bones and look at that.. Testys and a wee-wee! We are more than excited and words cannot express what we are grateful for. We have a happy, healthy baby boy! We are sharing this with our blog readers about a week before the rest of the world because we would like to spend the week with our family and just have some time to be thankful for what we have.. So if you could help keep our secret we would very much so appreciate it. Thank you!!

Baby Maybe

Okay, so not maybe, it's a definite baby! I've been wanting icee's, steak, LuLu's tacos, and just about anything I see on a tv commercial. Hopefully we will find out what we are having on the 13th of this month.. With all of our luck, we will have one of the shyest babies known to man and we will NEVER be able to find out what they are. I am 14weeks along and I look like I'm 6months along for it being our first. I still am in Ortho so I look like I'm abou 16 years old which is interesting when I go to the store and get loads of dirty looks. I will post some photos to date of what has been going on.
